German Giant Publishing Company Allies with Zhejiang University
On the first day of a new semester, Zhejiang University had its first happy event. Yesterday, Zhejiang University signed an agreement with Springer-Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, a world famous scientific publishing company, to co-invest in establishing "Zhejiang University-Springer Scientific Publishing Fund" for the purpose of sponsoring Chinese excellent scientists publishing academic monographs, and launching them to the international market. It is said to be the first multinational publishing industries co-establishing scientific publishing fund in China.
The agreements signed yesterday also include cooperative publishing agreement between Zhejiang University and Springer, which appoints English scientific books, periodicals and e-books developed by both sides, and to have Springer as the global unique seller, while Zhejiang University Publishing House as the priority partner in translating and reprinting Springer products.
